FIND A RELIABLE TECHNICIAN
Find a repair shop or technician that has a good reputation and keeps good records. Also one where you feel comfortable not only in leaving your vehicle but also in talking and interacting with them. Part of being a reliable repair facility, along with properly repairing your vehicle, is providing the customer with accurate information about the mechanical condition of your vehicle.

GAS UP OFTEN
Most late model vehicles have the fuel pump located inside the gas tank using the gas to cool the pump. In this set up it is advised not to allow your gas tank to fall below one quarter full. Below this level the fuel pump is no longer submerged in gas therefore it is
no longer being cooled and this can greatly shorten the life of the pump. Also, with the pump mounted inside the gas tank replacement is rather expensive.
